Space

Shape
A shape is a three-dimensional object, as opposed to a figure. You can measure the width, height and depth of a shape. Shape is also represented by light and shade. A shape can be obtained by combining two or more shapes.
Shading
This element determines the ratio of light and dark areas in relation to the object. Shadows are created by an external light source, which casts highlights and shadows on the object. It is the light and shade that creates the depth in the photograph.
Size
Each design element involved in a composition has a certain size, or mass in relation to other elements and to the design as a whole. By adjusting the size, you can provide attention, convey mood, create the necessary contrast, and highlight information.
